The package, valued at AED 3.309 billion, has been distributed among 2,015 Emirati citizens in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved the disbursement of the second housing and benefits package in 2024 to Emirati citizens in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi These benefits, which are valued at AED3.309 billion, have been distributed among 2,015 citizens across the emirate.

 

The housing benefits packages includes housing loans which are worth more than AED 3.046 billion that will aid 1,766 citizens. The housing loans includs782 loans dedicated for purchasing houses in Balghaiylam housing project. Additionally, senior citizens, retirees with low incomes, and the families of deceased citizens  are among the exempted from the housing loan payments, amounting to over AED 262.8 million. This exemption has directly benefited 249 citizens in the Emirate.

 

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “We extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for their directives leading to the disbursement of this year’s second package of housing benefits. This initiative underscores the unwavering dedication of our wise leadership to enhance the well-being of our citizens and their families, fostering familial and social unity within the Emirate while propelling its holistic development forward.”

 

His Excellency Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “The directives for distributing the second housing benefits package embody our leadership’s strategic approach to fulfilling needs and aspirations of our citizens, thereby enhancing their quality of life and nurturing social stability. At Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, we reaffirm our commitment to enhancing the housing sector for the citizens of the Emirate, ensuring that their housing requirements are met in alignment with the vision and directives of the wise leadership.”

 

The distribution of this year’s second housing benefits package coincides with Eid al-Adha, exemplifying the leadership’s dedication to enhancing citizens’ stability and overall quality of life. With this package, the total value of housing benefits disbursed since the establishment of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has reached over AED 152 billion.
