The housing packages disbursed in 2024, valued at AED 13.216 billion, have benefited 8,891 citizens in the Emirate

In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved the distribution of the third housing benefits package of 2024 to the citizens of the Abu Dhabi. This comprehensive package, which is valued at a total of AED 7.72 billion, benefits 5,374 citizens across the Emirate.

 

The housing benefits package includes housing loans totaling over AED 3.569 billion, granted to 2,373 citizens, as well as residential land and housing allocations valued at AED 3.670 billion, benefiting 2,540 citizens. In addition, senior citizens, retirees with low incomes, and families of deceased citizens have been exempted from housing loan payments, amounting to AED 486 million, directly benefiting a total of 461 citizens in the Emirate.

 

The Total of Housing Packages

With the third distribution, the housing packages disbursed in 2024 have now surged to a total value of AED 13.216 billion, benefiting 8891 citizens across Abu Dhabi. This includes exempting senior citizens, retirees with low incomes, and the families of deceased citizens from loan payments, which has amounted to AED 847.2 million and benefited 805 citizens. Furthermore, 5,194 citizens have received housing loans totaling AED 8.361 billion, while 2,892 citizens have been granted lands and ready-made houses valued at AED 4 billion. Since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority’s inception, over 118.7 housing packages have been distributed, with a total value of approximately AED 162.1 billion.

 

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “We extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council for their noble directives leading to the distribution of this year's third package of housing benefits. This initiative underscores the steadfast dedication of our wise leadership to ensuring a dignified life for Emirati families. It reinforces the enduring focus on Emirati citizens and their families as central to the national objectives, strengthening family bonds within Abu Dhabi and supporting its advancement in comprehensive development.”
