Abu Dhabi Housing Authority announced the transformation of the services for providing exemptions from housing loans to be fully digital, and the application will be approved within six minutes of submission.

Abu Dhabi Housing Authority stated that since the service was completely transformed to proactive application within two working days, the total number of proactive applications for retirement exemption service and death exemption service reached 484 applications, of which 457 applications were processed within 6 minutes, representing 93% of the total number of the applications, and 36 applications, which required human intervention, represented 7% of the total number of applications.

Abu Dhabi Housing Authority stated that the possibility of applying for exemption services includes death exemption service, retirement exemption service, and inability to earn exemption service, and the Authority determined special requirements for approving the service within six minutes, where it stated that the applicant shall be of those earning low income so that he can apply for the retirement exemption service or the inability to earn exemption service, and this can be determined through linking with Ministry of Finance, Department of Finance, Pensions and Retirement Benefits Fund, and the Authority specified an additional requirement to apply to retirement exemption stating receipt of a pension salary only for the applicant through the aforesaid entities and that the applicant shall be of those earning low income, and an additional requirement to apply to death exemption stating that the applicant shall provide a death certificate issued by Health Department or a death statement issued by Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. To submit an application for the inability to earn exemption or inability to repay exemption, an evidence issued by the Medical Committee shall be provided through the linking with Ministry of Community Development.

The general requirements are as follows: Having no commercial licenses and having no commercial, industrial or investment properties, approving individual applications only, as the joint applications representing about 5% of the applications were excluded. It is also required that there shall be no arrears, and that the percentage of completion of the building shall be 100%, and that water and electricity services are available.

The application is submitted in four steps, namely, registering the application through one of registration channels on the website, and later the data are automatically checked and verified through the system, and an automatic approval is issued by the system and an instruction is sent to the bank to discontinue the deduction within two working days, and the customer is informed of the approval.

Abu Dhabi Housing Authority stated that it creates an initiative for automatic collection of data and transferring the applications proactively to the customer’s requirements at the moment of creating the housing application, with the aim of facilitating the customers’ experience and saving their time and efforts. The smart exemption service results in reducing the burden and reducing the number of times of communication with Customer Service Center, improving the level of housing services and enhancing customer satisfaction and happiness, through reviewing application only when the data is completed, as the completion of the data will be requested at the time of submitting the application, and improving the execution time of the applications.
